Chasing a Dream Foundation, Inc.

Chasing A Dream Foundation was established and founded by Chester W. Hightower Jr., in efforts to assist and motivate the youth in our community to make wise decisions for their future. The basic principles of this organization rely on positive recreational activities that can and will prevent our youth from dropping out of school, committing crimes, and ultimately losing their focus. The Chasing a Dream Foundation is based upon its main purposes to provide each young man and/or young woman with a positive outlook on their future, an encouraging atmosphere, a healthy lifestyle, and a focal point for education.

 

The Chasing a Dream (CAD) Foundation is a charitable organization that helps children ages 6-18 establish, analyze and accomplish their goals. Doing this we will redirect their focus to the importance of receiving an education rather than becoming a part of the negative statistics of today's society. Based on my experience with sports and education I decided to do something meaningful to me, and hopefully to society as well. With the help of our family, friends, peers, and supporters we will make our youth’s dreams come to reality. We believe every child learns at his/her own pace. Some learn fast, some learn slow but as long as they can receive, understand, and apply the knowledge to their life, that's the goal. CAD Foundation wants to ease the mind of the community. We want to take the focus off of money and redirect it to helping this generation and generations to come in "establishing, analyzing, and accomplishing goals" which is our main purpose.

 

The goal of the CAD Foundation is to inspire potential college students to view Universities, Technical College, and Armed Forces as a requirement in their future planning by offering the tools and resources to give them confidence in making college a reality. Through exposure to institutions of higher learning, tutoring, mentoring, life skills training and cultural enrichment activities, students will gain the knowledge to prepare them for future success. Also, the CAD Foundation plans to award a TCCHS and THS senior a scholarship to help with their college expenses.

 

Our Mission is to use positive recreational activities that will provide each young man and/or woman with a positive outlook on their future, an encouraging atmosphere, a healthy lifestyle, and a focal point for education.
